As a first time expectant Mom who is a bit overwhelmed preparing for baby, there is nothing more helpful than a short list of what you absolutely have to do - once you've checked off everything on that list, the rest is just gravy :-)

Hello! Nurse here. Rubbing alcohol hasn’t been used in years to cleaning the umbilical cord. And circumcisions aren’t routinely done in hospitals any longer. And a washcloth for the ears is just fine.
